Our experts are renowned veteran lawyers in data protection and we have participated in the construction of numerous Finnish and foreign clients’ data protection practices to comply with new regulations. Our know-how is strong in the handling of traditional personal data as well as in the novel data protection issues raised by digitisation, such as topics related to the monitoring of Internet use and the utilisation of compiled data. Our experts are thoroughly versed in all areas of data protection, including the handling of the personal data of customers and potential customers and data protection issues in working life.
We assist Finnish and foreign companies in preventive consultation related to the Internet, such as the design of registers of persons, preparation of register and data protection specifications, and the creation of binding corporate rules (BCR guidelines) and whistle-blowing systems. We continue to represent our clients in proceedings with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. In dispute situations, we assist in the conducting of negotiations and act as trial representatives at Finnish and international fora.
